The third annual New England Cannabis Convention (NECANN) continued its legacy last weekend as the largest, longest running cannabis event in the northeast. NECANN was held in Portland, ME and hosted more than 2,000 attendees, 120 industry exhibitors, and countless speakers.

Maine is a recreational cannabis state. What this mean for businesses:

Entrepreneurs, investors, and business owners are actively seeking fresh opportunities in Maine’s emerging cannabis market. NECANN’s panels and exhibitors detailed the ways in which laws will be formed, what business opportunities are available, and how residents of Maine can ensure that local economies benefit from this industry.

Hydrocarbon extractions were a popular subject at the show. We gladly educated the public about ways that our equipment can serve their markets. Edibles, distillate, vape pens, wax, shatter, BHO, live resin, rosin, and bubble hash were popular areas of discussion. End products such as these can be made with our fine line of processing equipment.

Attendees who spoke with us learned valuable information about industry standards, proper equipment operating procedures, and certification requirements. Changes in standard operating may include concerns such as equipment certification, safety proofing, and standardizing low PPM levels for extractions.
